Holiday Time Sharing

The holidays can bring additional stress on families facing divorce. It is important to have a time sharing plan in place and it should always include specific details of the schedule the child will follow during each major holiday. Simply stating, verbally or in a written agreement, that the child's holidays will be divided based on a later mutual agreement is never a good idea. Remember, holiday visitation always takes precedence over regular visitation days and careful consideration and planning of the holiday time should be made when preparing a Time Sharing Agreement. Detailed planning ahead will alleviate stress on the parents and the children.
